My taxes we accepted Feb 15. I received my State refund quite some time ago. My federal still has not come and today is May 7. When I call ANY of the IRS numbers given to me, I only get a recording stating they are not accepting calls due to the Covid-19 issue. I also sent an overnight letter to the IRS in early April and have heard nothing back. The tracking website continues to read, "still processing".
Any thoughts on how I can move this along? I've read some other forum comments about contacting a tax advocate. Is it time to do that and how do I go about finding one?

The online link is your best option to track your refund. I have attached a link with more answers from the IRS as to why your refund may be taking longer to process.
There is a delay in processing the returns as the IRS is not processing paper returns at the moment due to Covid-19 and social distancing policies in effect.
Thank you for the response. Since I have waited the recommended 12 week waiting period before contacting the IRS, I went ahead and left a message with my local Tax Advocacy office. I will see if they can give me any kind of general idea of what is going on. I did not apply for any type of government Covid business relief as I was planning on putting this money back into my business. I really need it to get here.
