State taxes and an amendment

I filed our state taxes and they were accepted. When I went to check the status of our refund it says I need a renters certificate. We have not moved and I don't remember needing this last year when I filed our taxes. Do I fill this out and send it amending our state taxes?

Based on information on the Wisconsin Department of Revenue website, there are a few reasons that your refund may be delayed.  Having your return selected for review based on claiming a homestead credit is one of those reasons.  It does not necessarily mean anything is wrong with your return, it is just being further reviewed.

You will most likely be notified by mail of the situation and how to resolve it.  In the meantime, your best option would be to contact the Wisconsin Department of Revenue for further instructions about what to do next.

Here is the contact information:  Customer Service Telephone Numbers
