Hello everyone:
I done the first e-file for federal and state tax return around end of January, 2022.
I have received both Federal refund and state refund.
The issue I am having here is that CA gov sent the letter to my company on 2/10/2022.
In the letter CA gov is asking for few docs.
1. Driver licese
2. W-2
3. Form 1099
4. last paycheck stub
Do I still need to send those docs out?
Thank you.

what does the letter say?
If you got your refund, obviously you wait to see if CA asks a second time for documents.
You might want to call the phone number on the letter just to make sure you still need to submit, considering you received your refund.
If you can’t get a live person to help you, though, you should go ahead and send in the documentation, and within the time period specified in the letter. You don’t want to be told later that you didn’t provide the information requested.
Generally you won’t be contacted about a return after a refund based on that return is issued, but it does happen. Based on what you’re saying, it’s not an audit, they just need additional information, for whatever reason.
