Social security for dependent

My ex husband passed away and my son receives social security for it and I forgot to file it on my taxes but I did not see an option for it or maybe I misread it will it cause issues with my return or can I go back and fix it?

You have taken the right action. Do not enter it on your tax return. You are not required to include your son's social security on your tax return.

Is it possible to file taxes if our baby doesn't have a social security number yet? He was born in Canada and already has his US passport.
