Your employer will either report your overtime on your W-2 (probably in box 14 but we’ll have to wait and see) or on a separate statement. You don’t get that money refunded; it is just not taxed. Only the “half” of the time and a half is subject to the exclusion.

The software is not yet ready for the tax law changes for overtime and tips, so you will need to be patient. We do not know yet how these will be handled on W-2's or in the software. Employers have until the end of January to issue W-2's. You are not "refunded" for overtime----You are just not taxed on a certain amount of it.
