Not trying to ask same question but my sister and I filed head of household using the same address as I did she did so by accident as she was suppose to use the address she stayed at most of the year she wasn’t thinking since she has lived here using this address the last 2 months we both claimed different dependents just used same address they have been accepted by irs was just wondering if this would keep me or both from getting approved cause we was really counting on this money asap has anyone had experience with this?

I edited my response on your other post. Since this is your spouse, and not just another person in the household, NEITHER of you can claim Head of Household since you married and living together. Your only options are Married Filing Joint or Married Filing Separately.
@Vanessa A I just realized it said that I was trying to put sister phone auto corrected not spouse sister
Ok, so then what was stated in the other thread is correct. The address does not matter. It matters most that you qualify for Head of Household. Technically, two people living under one roof could both claim Head of Household in certain situations.
the address doesn't matter. if you both are properly claiming different dependents then you both can file as head of household provided neither is married at year end
@Mike9241 ok I was worried because I didn’t keep any receipts for anything neither did she because we didn’t expect this so I wouldn’t be able to provide much if they asked for it as they have in other articles I seen
