I'm trying to retrieve my 2015 tax return but I do not need to file for 2017 just yet.

My school is asking for my 2015 tax return, I don't mind paying the extra $30 for plus but I don't need to file yet. What's the best way to go about retrieving my tax return?

Since you cannot pay for the 2017 upgrade yet (probably not until January) you will need to get a transcript or return copy from the IRS ...

You can get a return transcript from the IRS for free :  http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript

For a $50 fee you can get a copy of the return from the IRS:  https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1901218-can-i-get-a-copy-of-my-tax-return-from-the-irs
