SBTPG sending refunds

I have been reading in this tax group that some people who didn’t have credits had a ddd of 2/9/22 but have failed to receive their funds. It shows on the IRS. Wmr tool that the money has been sent and also on the SBTPG site the money has been funded. I used Turbo tax and the credit karma card and I don’t want this issue. I just wanted to know if there is a problem sending funds?

My best guess is that ACH between TPG and Credit Karma is using the cheap slow method that can take 1 to 2 business days. You would think with the fees we paid they could have used same day ACH.

You’re probably right. They should’ve kept the TurboTax card b/c that is crazy. I hope it’s better by mid-February…Smh

There won't be any problem these people on here no anything when you pay for fees out your refund it's been going there this is nothing new that's a real bank!

There does not seem to be a rhyme or reason as to who is affected. Major banks and prepaid card holders are all in the same boat. The only common denominator is SBTG. I am starting to wonder if they mailed our checks to our banks. This is not a good look for those of us who have trusted and relied on Turbo tax over the years. It may be a good idea for their administrators to do some PR right now. SBTG site says mine was deposited to my bank 2/8. My ddd was 2/9. There is no funds received by me or at the bank.

Exact same situation here. I’ve never experienced this with TT before. IRS shows paid and sent to bank. Where is it?

@lavetap @Dionte1335 If TPG is handling the refund due to having your fees deducted from your refund, you would need to contact them to determine the date your refund will be sent for a direct deposit. You can contact TPG by clicking here.

IRS where my Refund shows ours was paid yesterday. Not in my bank! Have checked repeatedly and nothing. Called my bank and said it simply had not been received and it shows up immediately when it does.

Have you now received your funds? This my first year with fees. Not even sure why I had to pay, but I see a lot of reviews about TPG and it’s not good. Im concerned now and will forever pay upfront if needed now.

this my first year with fees also but SBTPG got my refund yesterday, and is the day before the DDD which is 2/16, then and I got my refund literally 6:18 in the morning. Kinda surprised I got it on time despite seeing way too many bad reviews about SBTPG but I’m guessing maybe I got lucky or just because cashapp does early deposits.

If you signed up for Pay With My Refund, your refund will be handled through the Santa Barbara Tax Products Group (SBTPG, formerly SBBT). You can go to the Santa Barbara Tax Products Group website if you need assistance with your refund. You can also contact the IRS regarding your refund by calling 800-829-1040. You may want to try calling at a different time since you were unable to get through the first time.

I have a question maybe someone can help I’m seeing a lot of people in my fb tax refund group getting DDD and I’ve yet to get one I can’t view my transcripts cause I don’t have a account or whatever it is to look at em and I was also on path but on wmr it says now that we received your return and it’s being processed that’s all but when I go to turbo tax that bar on there was half full and now it’s completely full and I googled what that means and it tells me that my return has been accepted and completed by the irs and that I now have a expected refund date which I can’t see and at all when that will be I know a lot of people today are getting refund dates of the 24th and sbtpg Still says unfunded and they don’t have my money so do I just go off a leap of faith and hope my refund date is the same as everyone else’s

No it doesn’t mean it has been completed by the IRS. That full blue bar on TurboTax just means it’s been over 21 days.

I’ve already called the bank. Mines was posted yesterday and TPG said they sent it out yesterday. I will never use credit karma again… Never had the problem with turbo tax.. always got it in my bank account right away.. Credit Karma good way of making yourselves look bad SMH!

Yea Credit Karma should be in trouble for this in someway very misleading even Turbo Tax I was told that I would not have to pay a fee and ended up paying for both Fed. And State. I’m so upset

I totally agree, like when do they supposed to reimburse us. Like, they could’ve sent an email at less telling the bank to go straight to our account. Since they haven’t reimbursed us.

If you had excess fees deducted from you tax refund, over and above the $39 service charge for the Pay with Refund service charge from SBTPG -

TurboTax is aware of this issue and is working to provide a solution for all impacted customers.

No action is required on your part and TurboTax is working quickly to get you reimbursed. You should be getting an email shortly letting you know when to expect the rest of your return.

Does SBTPG also deal with those that took a early payout? I didn’t have fees but I did get the early $4000. I have a DDD of 02/24 was told to go on SBTPG website to see if they took the funds out which I did and it is saying information isn’t found. I’m thinking that SBTPG has nothing to do with those that just took the early payout. I had deposited into credit karma account.

You have to put in the taxpayer ss# that is listed first on your return. (Mine showed no account found until I put my husband's info then it came up). I to got a 4,000 advance but no fees paid using ck account. Ddd of 2/24 with no update as of 6:53am on either ck or sbtpg site. Doesn't even show advance sent either. I've seen people on reddit saying sbtpg site doesn't update correctly and to just call them instead but I get an automated message then hung up on. Its very frustrating because tt card last year was so much easier than this new ck stuff. Wont do this again thats for sure

I tried his and mine still saying no account information found. I’m just hoping it doesn’t delay my refund and I don’t get it till later or they lose it or something. I need it very bad right now going through a lot!! Thank you for info I’ll try to call.
