I am very confused on SBTPG as they have had my refund since 2/23 and I have yet to receive it. I called the automated number to check the status of my refund 2/28 and it stated it was sent via bank check on 2/28. I’ve called the number everyday since and it says it was sent via bank check 3/1,3/2 & 3/3.
I called and waited on hold two hours yesterday to ask when it was actually sent and why it wasn’t sent via direct deposit. They stated they had no direct deposit information on file for me. This is just completely false, I’ve used this method of refund for years and I also confirmed my info at the end of my filing and to top it off when I check my refund status on the SBTPG website it shows my deposit was suppose to go via direct deposit and shows the ending numbers of my bank account so they are just completely lying!!!
They said they send out checks Tuesday and Thursday’s and they “think” mine went 2/24 but the confidence I have in that statement is the same as them telling me they don’t have my banking info when I’m looking at it. I have my state tax money back and not my federal…that’s never happened.
Im confused how turbo tax is allowing these issues and not providing any statements on what’s going on and why SBTPG and is holding so many refunds from people as I’ve seen this is an issue across the board. I’m sure if SBTPG was holding turbo tax funds that they take out of our checks this would be promptly dealt with. I’m very frustrated that I’m being dragged all over with different answers and lies and turbo tax has offered no assistance. This is likely the last year I will use Turbo Tax, it’s no longer convenient it’s the polar opposite of that.

You can follow the instructions in this link here to contact SBTPG. You can also contact the IRS at 1-800-829-1954 to initiate a refund trace. The Bureau of Fiscal Service may need to review your claim before they can re-issue your IRS refund check, which can take up to 6 weeks to complete.
I am so very disappointed in turbo tax. Why would they use a one star rating business to deduct thier fees from and entrusting that business in handling our refund. I trust everything I agree to check box that it was safe to trust what turbo tax said to do, that my refund was in good hands.
All I received was lies, no higher ups have called back as requested. I wrote to news stations and at this point I am on hold for my fourth call and if a higher up can't call me back then I am gonna call authorities. Something has to be done. This is money that is being relied on. As u mention every call you make to check the automated update give you that day that you call as the date your check was issued.
I have heard technical issue, give wrong dates... These live reps no nothing, and are just reading what the company tells them to say. Nothing more, nothing helpful.
