The Covid Relief bill changed the child credit and unemployment taxation, both of which greatly affect my refund. Problem is, I filed in February and now am due over a thousand more dollars. Must I amend as if I did something wrong? or did the IRS incorporate a simple solution for fixing this mid-procedure change?

If you already filed then wait for the IRS to adjust your refund for the unemployment you paid tax on. They do not want you to amend for that. And there is no reason to amend for the child tax credit increase. That increase is not for your 2020 tax return. It goes into effect for 2021.
