Rejected Amended return 1040x for 2020 the I efiled

I efiled my amend Form 1040-X and it was rejected: F1040X 007-01 Form 1040-X 'TotalnonrefundableCreditsAmt in 'CorrectNumberOrAmountGrp' must be equal to amended from 1040 'TotalCreditAmt'. Program does not show me how to fix? How do I fix this error and efila again? I have already received my refund from the previous filed return. Thank you.

You may want to wait for one or more updates to TurboTax before trying again.

This is happening to me as well, and two different specialists on the phone were unable to help because it seems like a Software issue with Turbotax. I can't figure out how to access any more information on this and the Reject code seems to be something a lot of people have never seen before, especially since the program does not lead to fixing the issue.

I received the exact same error code and message.  However, when I come back to TurboTax to fix this and actually click on "Fix This" on my Tax Home Page, it takes me to another page but doesn't allow me to actually fix anything!  So incredibly frustrating!  Since I did all of this late yesterday, I'm going to call TurboTax later today and see if anyone can offer any solutions.  I'll update again here afterward.

So, I contacted Turbo Tax customer support and they could not help me with this problem.  The only solution is to print my amended tax return and send it in the mail.  This is extremely frustrating as I've paid $110 to use Turbo Tax this year and I cannot utilize the eFile option because of this computer/software glitch.  On top of that, the Turbo Tax program said that I'd get the 1st and 2nd stimulus payment from 2020 because I was no longer a dependent in 2020.  However, the customer service agent said that I might not receive this $1800 from the IRS because I was a dependent in 2019.  Then WHY does the Turbo Tax program tell me that I WILL get this?!? So frustrated and I most likely will NOT use Turbo Tax again next year!

I received an email indicating my amended 2020 taxes where rejected too. The error codes the IND--25-020 If PintTypeDd in the return header has the value Self-Select On-Line and Primary BithDt has a value then Primary Prior Year AGI AMT or Primary Prior YearPin or IndentiyProtectionPin must have a value. When I open my return it says accepted. Don't know which is correct. Yikees!!!

Same thing, rejected message "F1040X-007-01 - Form 1040-X, 'TotalNonrefundableCreditsAmt' in 'CorrectNumberOrAmountGrp' must be equal to the amended Form 1040, 'TotalCreditsAmt'." Email says TT will give step by step advice on fixing error but that option is not available and a search on the above terms or forms entries is not helpful either. Having some concerns over paying for a program and then getting little or no support when a problem exists. Apparently multiple people received this rejection message with no help from the program or customer support. I gave it a few days and tried to refile but it was rejected again, same message. The "total non refundable credits amt" in the rejection message is pure gibberish. Hope someone finds an answer soon, if not I will no longer use intuit products.

I am also having the same problem.  I cannot understand the error message.  I cannot fix the problem.  I will give it a ew days and then, if I cannot fix it, I will send it in manually.

I too had the exact same rejection code: F1040X-007-01

I found a forum on reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/tax/comments/me0ud0/rejected_amended_return_1040x/) where several people have resolved this issue *BUT* only if they used the free online version!

I bought the TurboTax Deluxe Mac edition, and the issue cannot be resolved the same way. It appears that the problem is that Form 1040-X, Line 7 (which reads 0. 0. 0. for me) does not match Form 1040, Line 21 (which is BLANK for me). The sections that should be filling in the latter as 0. (instead of a blank) won't update this field and thus the IRS e-file system rejects my amended return on the grounds that these numbers are not equal.

Hopefully TurboTax support will help us out soon, but if not it seems the solution is to give up on the non-free versions of TurboTax. My current best bet is to use the free online edition and go (Step 1) REDO your entire 2020 tax returns matching the erroneous, pre-amended values, then (Step 2) REDO your amended version using the online system.

Help us, TurboTax! Please! A lot of us have big $ (for us) on the line because of the various stimulus checks!

Getting the same error here with no fix provided or error showing up.  F1040X-007-01 - Form 1040-X, 'TotalNonrefundableCreditsAmt' in 'CorrectNumberOrAmountGrp' must be equal to the amended Form 1040, 'TotalCreditsAmt'.  It looks like on the 1040 the total Credit Amount is blank and on the 1040X the amount is 0.  There is no way to override this error.

Yeah, I am also experiencing this rejection. The information on the taxes is correct except maybe there is a 0 on one line that maybe doesn't connect to nothing on the other line. I don't know why my taxes are getting rejected.
