I've been seeing this issue EVERYWHERE! Thousands of people not getting their full refund, then Turbo Tax never answering the phone and TPG being zero help. For starters, filed married joint return; no dependents and ZERO offsets - so absolutely zero reason as to why they would take $2,300. Originally was supposed to be getting $3,612; turbo tax sent an email 03/23/2022 that they were only refunding $812 yet only $600 was deposited into my account. The details as to why turbo tax or the irs or whoever took a chunk of our refund away from none of it applies to us. We've always filed married joint; and have NEVER had dependents. It's absolutely infuriating for one to be told you'd get your refund in 21 days and it take over a month, then to see you're only getting a portion of what you're refund is supposed to be; and not even at the adjusted amount they told you. I've used turbo tax for years and this will be the last time, the hidden fees, no customer service, taking thousands of their customer refunds extremely during a time when so many people are desperate for money. It's truly sickening. I feel like I have no way to get my full refund.

" and it take over a month, "
millions of filers are still waiting for their 2020 refund.
IRS makes the adjustments.
If you want to dispute it, you have to correspond in writing
stating "I dispute this adjustment " and your reasons.
Ok the difference the IRS sent out was 2800 (3612-812). The rest was probably the Turbo Tax fees plus the Extra $40 Refund Processing Service charge (45 in California).
The 2800 is the 3rd Stimulus payment.
1,400 or 2,800 (or multiples) is the 3rd Stimulus payment. Did you already get the Stimulus payment they sent out last year starting March 2021? The IRS has records that show you were sent the 3rd stimulus payment so they removed the $1,400/2,800 Recovery Rebate Credit.
Do you have an amount on 1040 line 30? You might have tried to claim it again. Line 30 is only if you didn't get the full amount or qualify for more.
Double check your bank statements and check your IRS account to see what they sent you. Check both IRS accounts if married.

After speaking with Intuit this morning I got a little more insight and next step is to speak to the IRS; which I'm aware the adjustments came from them. For reasons that don't apply to me.
So I know from speaking with a rep from the Inuit president's office that $200 is taxes/fees. I will check out those links and see if maybe if I did get it. I remember getting the first two, but not the third. Thank you so much!
