Refund Status says Action Required

Yes got text from my tax lady that I have a refund date on the 22 & I looked at my transcript & it will be issued on 22. No I didn’t verify my identity. Come down guys it will blow over.

Like she said if u didn’t get a letter u are good I didn’t get a letter & mines is being issued on 22. So don’t do anything unless times are passing really far . And you tax lady don’t have anything for u then take action. Other then that just check your transcript not WMR.

Did you get the same notification with verify your identity to process your return more quickly??

I’ll did the same thing checked out out of nosiness, and it said your refund is being processed then my tax lady called & said it be here on 22 so just be patient it blow over my guy

Lucky. I have been checking my info and it still keeps coming out as not processed and have not received a letter yet. I am calling today since it has been more than the 21 days.

I can't remember the exact file date but it went into accepted status on 1/22. Nothing in my account today, but it did say "by February 27th" so I'm expecting it some time this week.

I finally got the letter! (I got two but they have the same control number). Basically all I did was log into the IRS and input the control number. It then asked me questions about this tax year which I answered all of them and then the message finally disappeared on my account. It gave me something along the lines of congratulations. So now I guess I just have to wait and see until it is now processed. I still have no estimate date or anything but I am guessing since I just verified that information that it might update sometime tomorrow all though it said that it can be updated in 2 weeks 😕 hopefully that is not the case but I will still keep checking periodically this week and see if things do change.

On your letter does it give you the option to call it in instead of using online service?

Yeah it gave me the number to call, but since there was high volume I just did it online. I am still calling to make sure everything looks right just in case

I got same notice i put my id on idme the action notification went away came back week later saying i need a control number off a letter bever got so i rwqueated another one hopefully it comes they only send it out 2x si what if they never send it?? Never got the first one!! Dont undwrstand why me never had a problem b4!! Id me will give u other options to id urself just need ti go alittle further ir ask ? Or calk them!! Hope all works out for us soon!!

I was suppose have mine monday being it was holiday wveryone that was due in monday got friday ! I didnt because of this **bleep** notice never got in mail then says after h put control number in takea uo ti 3 weeks get a refund date!! CRAZY!! where is THE LETTER!! Got a letter i id mysekf with irs but ni refund because if control number si why saying i aucessfully id mysekf?? And why u fet that ketter in a week but not the control bumber letter???  CRAZY!!

@henryflock53 The message and the letter, etc.  are all coming from the IRS --- not from TurboTax.   After you use the TT software and file your tax return, TurboTax is done.  TT gets no information about your return or your refund after the IRS accepts it for processing.  Follow all of the IRS instructions so that you will get your refund.

I have another update. If you do get the letter make sure to CALL the IRS. I know it says to do it online , which I did, but I decided to call yesterday to check that in fact it had gotten through and to my surprise...it didn't. The agent told me that its a very sloooow process as opposed to just calling them and verifying your info over the phone. He did tell me to give it a few days to update... so I am calling again just in case. Again.
