Refund is late

My refund was due April 1st and I filed March 11th. I’ve never had a late refund before. I went to call the IRS to check on my processing refund and no live calls are available because of COVID-19. I need help! 😞

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 20 of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

And yes I have been checking every day since I was suppose to receive my refund on the irs where’s my refund tool. And it just keeps telling me it’s processing. It’s never taken almost a week over due to process. So is it just a matter of waiting? That’s my question. Because I can’t contact the IRS by phone because of COVID 19.

I hope you got your refund.

I have been waiting over a month now for my refund.

Last year it came in 2 weeks. I don't understand why it's taking so long this year, except maybe the whole pandemic situation has brought things to a crawl?
