Refund change due to SSN issue

I filed my taxes and Received a notice from the IRS that my refund amount changed due to errors. That a social security number for one of my dependents was missing or incomplete and that the last name for filing doesn't match their records. I have used turbotax for years with no. issue in carrying my dependents information (ages 1 and 9). How do I fix this issue and get my full refund that it was originally supposed to be???

That is usually the list of generic reasons they give if they changed the Recovery rebate credit on line 30.  How much is on 1040 line 30?

Do you have an amount on 1040 line 30 for the Recovery rebate credit?   Did you not get the 3rd Stimulus payment?  Or qualify for more?  Line 30 is only if you didn't get the full amount or qualify for more.

If the IRS thinks they sent it to you but you didn't get it request a trace for a missing third Stimulus payment

We did not receive the third stimulus payment. I checked my bank records prior to filing and the form the IRS sent me regarding the received payments and amounts reflected the same.

You got IRS letter 6475?  Then they show they sent it to you.  You have to start a trace for it.

That is a generic IRS message they use when the IRS removes the Recovery Rebate Credit from your Form 1040 Line 30 because the IRS has records showing that you were sent the 3rd stimulus payment.

If you checked your bank account in the March - May 2021 timeframe and there is not a EIP3 payment from the IRS then go to this IRS website for how to start a trace on the payment - https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/questions-and-answers-about-the-third-economic-impact-payment-topic-j-p...
