Exactly! I'm passed the refund advance part, now I just pray out deposit goes to the account we had to get

@Bbcawdrey the account we were PRESSURED into getting, under false pretenses. This is wild. Never again. Its ashame it works now so everyone seems to be getting the advance.  I seriously needed it. I have 2 kids, 5 months pregnant and temporarily disabled. Smh. I should have just waited another week and i would have been fine. I don't even think they can fix the advance problem. Its all good.

What don’t they see exactly? I filled and was accepted today but no word on the advance. It’s says it will be deposited in 1-2 hours but I haven’t seen or heard anything

They are saying they don't see where I chose to get the advance itself

There will not be a deposit until the IRS processes your return.

You mean accepts? That’s what the fine print says!

Yeah I’m in the same boat. It’s accepted 1/21 and no refund advance. I think it’s this partnership with credit karma messing things up. I’ve been transferred back and forth between turbo tax first century and credit karma all day today for no one to give me any information. I’ve been doing my taxes for ten years on turbo tax getting a refund advance within minutes of its accepting refund not approving. And this year I’m being told different. I also was made to do credit karma option. I just asked the last Gentleman status from turbo tax and he said he don’t see the code saying I was approved so he’s assuming I was denied. I don’t believe that to be honest.

Although you could be pre approved for the advance only the bank can actually approve it after you file the return ... read the details in the contract you signed ... note the term "typically" is used and it not a guarantee ...

Not all consumers will qualify for a loan or for the maximum loan amount. If approved, your loan will be for one of ten amounts: $250, $500, $750, $1,000, $1,500, $2,000, $2,500, $3,000, $3,500, or $4,000. Your loan amount will be based on a portion of your anticipated federal refund to a maximum of 50% of that refund amount (minus any stimulus payment credit, also known as Recovery Rebate Credit). You will not receive a final decision of whether you are approved for the loan until after you file your taxes. Loan repayment is deducted from your federal tax refund and reduces the subsequent refund amount paid directly to you.

If approved, your Refund Advance will be deposited into your Credit Karma Money™ Spend (checking) account, typically within 1 - 2 hours after the IRS acceptance of your e-filed federal return and you may access your funds online through a virtual card. Your physical Credit Karma Visa Debit Card* should arrive in 7 - 14 days. *Card issued by MVB Bank, Inc., Member FDIC pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc.; Visa terms and conditions apply. Third party fees may apply.

Same issue and I think I figured it out but haven’t got a solution yet! So I filled these steps:

    1. Sign in TurboTax if you haven't already.
    2. On the Tax Home screen with the amount of your refund and status, scroll down and select Add a State (don't worry, we aren't adding a state) to access your tax forms and worksheets.
    3. In the left menu, select Tax Tools then Print Center.
    4. On the TurboTax Print Center screen, select Print, save or preview this year’s return.
    5. On the next TurboTax Print Center screen, select 2021 federal returns and Include government and TurboTax worksheets (optional) then select View or print forms.
    6. The information will be on the first page, Electronic Filing Instructions for your 2021 Federal Tax Return next to Balance Due/Refund

I found an application was submitted to green dot bank which is not affiliated with first century bank! Green dot is the bank turbo tax used last year so I’m guessing there is an issue in the system where TurboTax is sending applications to green dot bank instead of first century bank.
also when I filed they was not 1 thing that mentioned green dot bank so how the hell is there an agreement for green dot bank to receive any of my information? Waiting to contact TurboTax on this. Cause it all well could be a law suit if they provided info to a bank I didn’t agree to…. Right?!?

Did you get an email first or did the funds just show up? Also what time of day was your accepted on the 24th? Because mine was accepted at 6:51 EST and I’m still waiting

@cutiekim641  Was yours accepted that time pm or am?  I just called irs and they said they have my taxes. This is totally a turbo problem

PM. I’ve talked to First Century Bank and Santa Barbara Tax Group. This is absolutely a TurboTax problem! What makes it worse is they’re not giving their customers any information. Even their CS agents aren’t being told anything. From their Twitter page you can see it’s a mass event quite a few Redding advance customers. But they’re still advertising a 1 hour advance on their website. I’ve already requested a legal review of this incident at class action.org. This is unacceptable!

@Machado I am glad you brought up the part about Green Dot Bank.  I too followed those steps to see where my refund was supposed to go and saw mention of green dot bank but at the time didn't think anything of it because it had my newly created Credit Karma account information listed for where the IRS would be sending the funds. Also at the time I did not know that the bank they were now using was First Century Bank so I just assumed green dot was correct but unless green dot is involved in the Credit Karma Spend account which is very possible because all of these online bank accounts that have been popping up all over like Chime and Brex, etc. Are backed by a larger bank.  So that is definitely a possibility but the fact we are having so many issues makes me wonder if your correct and green dot is not involved at all and TT possibly sent our information to them instead of First Century which would definitely explain why First Century has not issued our advances!

I have the same exact problem. Mine was accepted on the 21st. When I didn't get my advance I finally called on the 25th. Tuebotax said on their end on the section for approved or denied, it is just blank. The customer service representative helping me said "that's weird". But still couldn't help me. I asked her to transfer me to someone who could help me and even that person was a loss for words. It has something to do with credit karma. I have used tuebotax for 3 years and never had an issue. I was forced to open an account with them for the advance and now I won't receive it when I know I would have. Turbotax needs to address this now or they will be losing a few customers next year.

Yea they do it for some customers I guess I filed on the 22 got accepted on the 24 and still no refund advance this is nonsense and the only reason I filed with TurboTax again this year already had my credit karma card set up

I'm having the same issue. Called turbotax and after about 30 minutes on the phone (being VERY patient and polite) the guy just sent me another order confirmation email and hung up on me. I ONLY applied for the advance because it said that I would get it so quick because I am in a bind. No loan acceptance email, no confirmation for the advance and my return is ACCEPTED by the government. I'd like to know when a solution to this issue is coming.

Sadly there is no solution, I talked to TurboTax,Fcb, and credit karma and there was literally nothing that could be done..so I think I'm going elsewhere next year😑

@jjcoexist90  Sadly I don’t think there is one. We will have our refund before they send the advance. I’ve tried everything. Today I even called first century for the 20th time and got angry with the rep. She told me she didn’t know who she worked for turbo tax or first century smh I was pissed 🙎

The problem I'm having is that I filed, was approved for 3500 refund advance. The whole time before acceptance it said I was approved and gave me the whole 1 hrs message. As soon as my refund was accepted by the IRS, my refund advance changed to not approved. Anyone else have this happen?

They won't give you any. Intuit is blaming the bank, and the bank is blaming intuit. I got a call from a case manager at the office of the president from Intuit. He proceeded to tell me after a two day "investigation" that the bank had been the one who declined my advance. I already knew that, my question was why? They pre approved me, then when I finished everything it said I was approved. He didn't have any answers and just said it eas "weird." They aren't interested in telling customers the truth, which is that they were trying to get more traffic to Credit Karma money. I filed a dispute with the BBB. Got their attention real fast. I'd recommend it if you want a case manager to give you a call.
