Refund Advance from prior years

Has anyone gotten a refund advance in prior years? And if so how long did it take for you to get your actual refund. Was it sent the same day or beforehand? This is my first time using it and I'm wondering if it will cause a delay for the rest of my refund.

The IRS will process your refund the exact same, and on the Where's My Refund website it will let you know once the refund has been approved and it will issue a direct deposit date. 

If you have any fees or deductions from your return, the return will be sent over to Santa Barbara Bank for the fees to be deducted, and they will allow you to check the status by clicking here.
