I received a W2-C with my social security and Medicare wages adjusted. The amount was higher in the "previously reported" columns. Since the amount of social security and Medicare tax withheld was higher than it should have been, would I get a refund if I file a 1040X?
Note: I had more than one W2. The W2-C I received was from a short-term disability insurance company.

You don’t have to amend for that unless the Social Security in box 4 increased and you have more than 1 employer and together they went over the max. Or if you claimed excess Social Security and they reduced the ss tax.
For 2021you get excess SS back if one person had more than 1 employer and those employers took out more than the max of $8,853.60.
You do not file an amended tax return, Form 1040-X, for changes to the Social Security and Medicare wages or those taxes withheld.
If the taxes withheld was less on the corrected W-2 then what was reported on the original W-2, you need to contact the Payer for a refund on the difference.
