I recently submitted my non resident New York State Tax Return (IT-203). I work remotely from another state and had only W2 and 1099 for New York. I received a letter in the mail asking me to submit Form IT-558, New York State Adjustments due to Decoupling from the IRC. After taking a look at the form and looking at instructions, the form doesn't seem to apply to me. Has anyone had a similar experience with this form or know how to fill out the form? I would appreciate any support or guidance since I searched online and in the Turbotax community and couldn't find any clear answers for this situation. Thank you!

I have the same question as the same situation applies to me. And to add, Turbo tax filled out an amount on line 18 in the NY column however is zero on the Federal column. How can I find out how Turbo Tax derived this amount? And could this be the line item that triggered NY to send the letter informing me to file IT-558? Hopefully we will get an answer right away as I have to file this form back to NY by May 11th. Thank you.
