Does a refund ever get deposited before the date on 'Where's My Refund'?

  • On the refund app it says my refund will be direct deposited by February 23rd, however the IRS app says February 24th. When should I expect my refund 23rd or 24th?

Does a refund ever get deposited before the date on 'Where's My Refund'?

@Cancersucks2022 No one in this forum is going to be able to pinpoint the moment your refund will post to your account.  You are going to have to watch your account.  Even after the IRS issues the refund it can take up to five days to post to an account.

Does a refund ever get deposited before the date on 'Where's My Refund'?

Is this due to a person's financial institution that it can take up to 5 days later? .... so if a refund will be sent on the 24th per code 846 on the transcripts, does this mean that the its assist sent the refund and up to my financial institution to post the day they receive it or the date irs has post dated?

Yes, when the IRS Where's My Refund? site shows a date that your funds have been sent to your bank, it can take a few days for the bank to actually post the deposit to your account.
