Why is the IRS holding my refund until Mid-Late February??

If you have earned income credit or additional child tax credit as part of your refund, the PATH act requires the IRS to hold your refund as a fraud prevention measure.

Does that mean your refund is approved

Why is the IRS holding my refund until Mid-Late February??

@woodsandre93 We cannot see the message you have on the refund site.  When the IRS is ready to approve and issue your refund the message will tell you it has been approved.

It says mid February to late February does that mean there still looking at it or will I get my refund at the end of February

Why is the IRS holding my refund until Mid-Late February??

@woodsandre93 Only the IRS can tell you when you will get your refund.  TurboTax has no control, nor does TT get any information from the IRS after you file.   They may start approving and issuing refunds by mid-February but you have to allow time for the refund to arrive in your account or mail.  And we have no way to predict whether you will go under review and have a delayed refund.  All you can do is watch the IRS site for information.
