Why I didn't get my full refund from the IRS?

My refund was $600 less than my filed return amount.

The IRS will be mailing you a letter. They do not notify TT, but it sounds like they denied a $600 Recovery Rebate Credit because (1) their records indicate you were already sent it as stimulus #2, or (2) you did not qualify.  Some of those stimulus payments were sent in the form of debit cards, which folks may have thrown out as junk mail.
