It's a shame that Turbo Tax has become so greedy they resort to taking out there money this way instead of waiting until the tax refunds are processed
I will not be using Turbo Tax ever again they only want there money don't care about what you are going through stress of being unemployed and waiting with no answers then they add to it by taking there money out of the account even after you call them to delay it they take it out and only push the date back 15 days
If you chose to pay your TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund, and if your Federal refund has been delayed unusually long at the IRS (or if it's been reduced), TurboTax will want to be paid. They likely started sending you emailed bills to pay. If you don't respond by either paying or asking for a deferment, they will ultimately debit your bank account. If you can't pay now and wish to ask for a deferment, you need to do so quickly.
See this FAQ that explains the process. The first paragraph of the FAQ has a special phone number if you have a question or have a hardship and need to ask for a deferment.
Hours are 5AM-5PM Pacific (8AM-8PM Eastern), Mon-Fri
If you need to ask for a deferment, you should call them as soon as possible. Once they actually start the debit process, they say they can't stop it.
FAQ: Why was my bank account auto-debited for the TurboTax fees?
The first paragraph there says:
If you’re in need of assistance, call us by the Tuesday prior to your debit date at 1-888-808-1723 to speak with a trained specialist and mention “auto-debit”, or visit TurboTax Support.
If for some reason you can't reach Support with that phone number in the FAQ, there may be one in your emailed bill. Otherwise, here's an alternate way to reach them, but try the one mentioned above first.

I responded asked for a delay at the end of April I called explained my taxes was still in process was supposed to be taken out in May 1st they extended it for 15 days and took it out after I said I could not pay it
It is not like I did not respond to the e mails
So if we have not been paid from the IRS yet because they are back logged
Turbo Tax wants there money first before you get processed after you request it be taken out of return
NOT GOOD BUISNESS
Go somewhere else Turbo Tax is a ripp off
I filed April 14th..accepted on the 16th. I STILL haven't received my refund yet but TurboTax sent an email stating they are taking money out of my account which was ONLY to be used to deposit my refund. If i don't have my refund how in the world can u take my money. Plus i still haven't received my stimulus check yet. WHAT IS THE HOLD UP. if u go in my account to take ANY money..u will just be practicing because there is No money in my account....YOU DIDN'T SEND ME ANY🤷🏾
@Chesull1 Was that the first email? They send 4 emails before they debit your account.
That's why you have to pay the fees. The IRS is taking too long to send your refund. You can ask them to delay it.
Turbo Tax says......
We understand that these are unprecedented times and we’re committed to helping our customers who are experiencing hardships. If you’re in need of assistance, call us by the Tuesday prior to your debit date at 1-888-808-1723 to speak with a trained specialist and mention “auto-debit”, or visit TurboTax Support.

Filed first of April and was accepted the next day. No refund or stimulus yet either!
If they touch one dime out of my account I will sue them.
same here i did my taxes march 13 and they said april 13 but nothing yet what the heck and i got my state direct deposited but the stimlus check was mailed what the heck ;lol
Do not amend unless u know there is something incorrect or u could poss add months on to the time already lapsed!!! I also have not received my refund and it’s adding to the stress we are already smothered with!
Sorry but you signed a contract with the third party processing bank allowing them to debit your account so you have no standing to sue them as any attorney will tell you. Follow the email instructions or those in this thread to get the debit delayed.
When we signed with the third party with a contract we did not have a pandemic at that time again I followed the e mail instructions and was still debited out
I'm sure a lawyer would love to listen to the case under the circumstances when 40 million Americans are on unemployment and waiting for the IRS to process our returns since March
I'm sure that they would love to hear that Turbo Tax is going to hold everyone to this third party contract
If I recall correctly turbo tax was only supposed to take their money out if you was not going to receive a return from the IRS or if they modified your return
This is not the case here our returns have not been processed from the IRS because they are back logged with this pandemic
I'm sure turbo tax will double dip and still take the $80.00 once our returns our processed
We out here hurting for our money they on a paid vacation!!!!
that's why I didn't give my account info just used pre paid card not that I would have ever thought they would do yal like that SMH
Let's get a class action suit against Turbo Tax
Pull a jury of our peers and see if they will understand that the circumstances is called a natural cause
Not of anyone's fault but TURBO TAX wants there money now and take theirs and hold us to a thurd party contract while no one has money for that
Regardless I followed their e mail and still 15 days later was taken out of my account
