What if you didn't work all year and had a accident part of the year what tax file do you file under..

It depends.  If you received some sort of compensation or if you are referring to a deduction like medical related, you can start with the free edition.  In the program, as you start entering more information, if needed or required, it will prompt you to upgrade to the next level of the product ( For example, like Deluxe, Premier or even Self-Employed version) that will fully support your situation.  Just follow prompts, it will guide you through to complete your filing.
