So, I spoke with the IRS today. They said that for anyone who has their return under review that our returns are extended out another 60 days because of COVID-19. 

We are going to get utilities shut off, a car repo'd, not to mention not being able to buy necessities. 

I cant with the f*cking IRS anymore. This is the biggest bunch of bullsh*t I've ever seen. We are suffering and that's all they can do? Unacceptable.

I was able to speak to someone today who told me that the 60 day review process stopped when they closed for Corona and will pick back up where it was in the process once they resume operation. She told me I had an additional 40 days to wait before I could reach out again. Very frustrating. She couldn’t even tell me what the issue is at this point. I cant fix an error if I dont know what the error is. People are hurting and need their money. They need to do better.

I was told the same thing. Wherever it was in the 60 day process stopped and resumed once they got back into the office. It’s ridiculous that its taking so long and the Agent couldn’t even tell me why my return was flagged. It may not even be an error just a random draw. I sure hope so because I have done my taxes the exact same way for 30 plus years and never had an issue. I have at a minimum another 40 days to wait before reaching out to them again. Complete BS and I bet they didn’t wait on their refunds!

Same thing happened to me and then I waited on hold for 40muns. This is nonsense. If I didn't have to file a special form 4852 I wouldn't have ever used TurboTax again. credit karma is free and every time I file with them I have my return in like 2 be days. This is crazy

I URGE EVERYONE TO BOMBARD THE WHITE HOUSE, BOTH THE PRESIDENT LINK AND AGENCY LINK, WITH EMAILS DEMANDING THE IRS GET OUR FEDERAL REFUNDS SENT OUT.  I SEND 4 A DAY...2 TO THE PRESIDENT AND 2 TO THE AGENCY TAB. YOU CAN SEARCH "EMAIL THE WHITE HOUSE" AND YOU WILL FIND THE TAB.  KEEP IT CLASSY BUT STATE THE FACTS.  THIS IS OUR MONEY AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN SENT BEFORE STIMULUS MONEY WAS SENT OUT!  IT IS OUTRAGEOUS FEDERAL TAX REFUNDS HAVE NOT CONTINUED TO BE PROCESSED EVEN IF THEY HAD TO PUT PEOPLE IN SEPARATE OFFICES TO CONTINUE TO PROCESS RETURNS.

In my case I dont know if its because I used Turbo Tax or whether I was selected randomly but if it was a TT error I wont use their service again. This has been pure hell. Bills are pilling up and I need my refund to survive and now I have to wait up to 40 more days to get answers as to when or if I get my refund!

The congress gave the IRS the ability to put our refunds on hold for 60 ays due to the PATH Act, that is already a long time to wait. How in the world did IRS gain the ability to put our refunds on hold for 120 + days just because of the the coronavirus?

Yea I haven't received none of my money yet either, and it will not give me a week of that I will b getting it. Like others that I know they have been giving a week of date that they will get there money. I never had a problem using turbo tax idk wat the deal with it this time is

I emailed my local news, submitted my information to my US Congressman, my Senator and the white house. If we all raise hell, then something might happen! Covid-19 or not, i have NEVER waited more than the 21 days they state that it usually takes. It will be the 6 month mark before I'll be able to find anything out on my taxes. If I f*cked up somewhere, then fix it and give us our money!

this is what I dont understand. I filed my tax return in the very beginning of February, and still haven't received it yet. I check the IRS app on my phone, and its STILL saying its being processed--YEEEEET, I actually DID receive a stimulus check for $1,200 right when they were first being sent out. WTF?? I need my **bleep** REFUND!!
