TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS once your return is accepted. You will need to check your refund status on the IRS Where’s My Federal Refund? site.

Once your refund status on the IRS shows "Refund Sent" it can take 1 to 5 business days for the financial institution to deposit funds into your account. (direct deposit)

If you opted for a paper check, once your refund status on the IRS shows "Refund Sent" it just depends on USPS how long it takes to be delivered via regular mail.

This is the only option I can think of that the IRS would tell you to contact TurboTax - if you choose "Pay with my Refund Option" once Santa Barbara Tax Products Group receives your refund from the IRS, they will take out the fee and send to your financial institution.  This option can add a few days to the 1-5 business days for it to post to your account. To contact Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, please click here.
