Turbo Tax made a mistake but won't let me fix it

I had a child who was born alive but passed away in 2019, before being issued a SSN. Turbo Tax instructed me to enter DIED for the SSN, which is also what the IRS instructions state. I had to download and print my return to mail it in because I have to include the birth certificate, which is fine. However, after I paid and downloaded, I see that they have incorrectly marked the child as an "other dependent" instead of being eligible for the child tax credit like she should be. Now it won't let me change anything because I've already paid and downloaded, even though nothing has been filed. What do I do?

To finish or make corrections, if you can no longer make changes to your return, but before you've e-filed or mailed your return, you can "add a state" to make changes:

1.    Sign In to TurboTax Online

2.    Click "My TurboTax" menu

3.    Press "Visit My Tax Timeline" 

4.    Under the "SOME THINGS YOU CAN DO" heading, choose "Add a state" (you're not really adding a state, this allows you to get back into your return). 

5.    Complete/correct as needed.
