It can take up to nine weeks.   Most folks report back that they are in receipt of their refund much more quickly after completing this step than the quoted nine weeks.  However, experiences will vary a great deal based on IRS volume and staffing levels, delays with mail (if a paper check is expected) and other factors.

You need to verify your identity with the IRS.  Only you can do that, no one else.  Follow the instructions on the Letter 4883C that you received from the IRS.
