Can I delete my account after I already filed and do my Taxes through the IRS instead of here? It has ben way past 30 days here!
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
If you already filed, you will not be able to file another return.
TurboTax does not get any information about refund status. You must check the status yourself using the IRS refund tracking web site: https://www.irs.gov/refunds
I did and it said we may need your 2018 and 2019 may be needed what does that mean?
It depends.
Where are you getting the message that your 2018 and 2019 may be needed?
If you have already filed your return with the IRS, you do not need to take any action using TurboTax.
TurboTax does not have any record of your filing so it is just sending reminders to ensure you did in fact remember to file your returns.
I did not file through the IRS I filed through the free Turbo Tax edition I am asking can I delete my account here and start all over with the IRS Directly?
Sorry I am getting that message when I go to the IRS website when I hit get my payment.
If you have already filed, you should not file again using the IRS directly.
This would result in a delay or issues processing your return.
If you are trying to track your refund, try using the links below.
The online link is your best option to track your refund. I have attached a link with more answers from the IRS as to why your refund may be taking longer to process.
Also, be aware, the IRS operations are limited during the Covid-19 pandemic. Attached is a link with more information as to what departments are available to contact at the moment.
