I filed a return on 4/1 before the IRS created the non-filers tool.
Had I waited, I would have used it because I didn't need to file because of low income.
As I used TurboTax, I was not allowed to add my direct deposit info.
Now, I cannot even use the new Get My Payment portal: I keep getting the Payment Status Not Available message.
Nor have I received a paper check. What is going on?

If you filed a return through TurboTax before these tools were created, the IRS does have this information. They can use it to calculate the stimulus and mail you a check. The IRS is sending these payments out in waves, so as long as you qualify, you will receive it.
According to the IRS FAQs, the Get My Payment application will return "Payment Status Not Available" for several reasons, including:
They update Get My Payment data once per day, overnight, so there is no need to check more often. If you are eligible for a payment and have provided your information either through a recent tax return or the Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here application, please check back for updates.
I was not required to file because I made less than $12,200. But I did file with TurboTax and sent it in on 4/1. The area for direct deposit had been xxx out so I was unable to add that info.
Within days, the IRS created the platform for non-filers. I wish I had waited! My friend filed that way on 4/14 and already has her stimulus money.
But because I used TurboTax, I haven't gotten a check, am unable to use the IRS non-filers tool because I used TT, nor does the Get My Payment portal work. I keep getting the same old error msg. So, now I'm stuck. (BTW I didn't file in 2018 either, so the IRS doesn't have my info) I'm one of those very low income people that really need that Stimulus check. I'm very upset with TurboTax. I feel like I'm being punished for using your service.
