It says to allow 24 to 48 hours after filing. Just start checking. On whether it has been accepted or not. . It has been 48 hours and it is still listed as pending. I have heard that if you have any child care or a child credit they are not processing until the 15th of February. How long should I wait? Till I start worrying about if my refund is going to be accepted.

You should have received an email within 24 to 48 stating whether your returns were accepted or rejected. If they get accepted, that means the IRS (& State) have your returns in their system to be processed. The email might have gone to your SPAM folder. You can also check the status of your e-filed returns.

Once your returns have been accepted, the IRS states that nine out of 10 e-filed tax returns with direct deposit will be processed within 21 days of IRS e-file acceptance. Mailed paper returns: If you filed a paper return, please allow 4 weeks before checking the status. Refund processing time is 6 to 8 weeks from the date the IRS receives your tax return.
The IRS expects the earliest EITC/ACTC related refunds to be available in taxpayer bank accounts or debit cards starting February 27, if these taxpayers chose direct deposit and there are no other issues with their tax return.
