It's not 18 days later though. Just because you filed that early means nothing because the IRS did not start processing refunds until the 27th of January. I also filed early and just today was my refund approved and given a date when my funds would be in my account, which really comes out to a little over 2 weeks since the IRS started to process refunds that I'll have mine so that is pretty quick tbh. Be patient and I'm sure yours will also be approved in the next day or two. My refund was also very cut and dry, so no complications, no kids, pretty straight forward refund so if yours wasn't it makes sense that it may take longer, especially if you're claiming children they have said those people will get their money by March at the earliest, just like last year. Good luck and I'm sure it'll be approved in another day or two if everything was correct.
Per the IRS, most refunds are received within 21 days (sometimes earlier) from the time a return has been accepted (received). For the most up-to-date information regarding the status of your tax return and a specific date of when to expect your refund, please visit the IRS Where's my Refund site.

Please note, if you claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) this could be why you're seeing a delay.
