Good luck with them. Heard from several People that they weren't Getting Back to them as their probably to busy and understaffed due to the coronavirus
You have lots of company, and the bars disappear after 21 days. The IRS is seriously backlogged due to all the extra stimulus filings, as well as a few million unprocessed 2019 returns left over from the COVID shutdown. In addition, the Where's My Refund site has been erratic and unreliable. But if TT told you the IRS Accepted your filing for processing, then the government has it. (Approved is a later step, but TT receives no further updates once Accepted.) Calling the IRS will not help, and the IRS has implored taxpayers not to call them. Lots of other folks are still waiting, so please continue to be patient. Also see:
What process did you use to get through to the IRS. I have been trying for weeks with no luck.
I am going through the SAME EXACT thing, except I can't get through to the IRS. I didn't recieve 2nd stimulus and no return. Also the new 3rd stimulus payment went to an old closed account after I filed my 2020 taxes with the correct bank information and of course now I supposedly will get a check in the mail....but who knows when. I have never had an issue and I have big payments coming up because of planning to get it on time. So I'm in really hard times right now like really bad. Phone is going to be turned off, utilities unpaid, etc. I want to cry because there is nobody that can even tell me what to do. Today I got an email saying I might have forgot to input my unemployment from taxes not being withheld but I don't know how to fix it. I'm so stressed and don't know what to do.
Hi. I was accepted on the 11th of February just like most , saw the first bar, then it disappeared for a while, just checked today and its back on with an approved bar and DDD date for march 24. but they had to change my refund amount due to the rebate credit. that was the hold-up for me. I hope this helps to calm some nerves today.
I was excepted feb 13th and still to this date never a penny! No 1st or 2nd stim.chks now sounds like no tax refund either. Since I switched to slowmo tax its been a trainwreck. Thanks from a guy about to watch his new daughter be born. No I don't need my money ASAP 😤 can anyone honestly tell us why this happened???
I appreciate you going through the trouble of calling the IRS . I’ve been wondering why I have received my refund yet just to find out I’m not the only one going through this. This information was very helpful!
We all are it seems!
Ditto. Same crap.
I never received the $600 either. Had to file for a tax credit..Also, the IRS tool bar is totally useless. It tells me 'not enough information' yet they have EVERYTHING they need to process and directly deposit my tax refund. As far as the 2nd stimmy...Still waiting...And waiting...(I filed my taxes March 16th) This is seriously ridiculous
There are a lot of delays for federal refunds this year. The IRS is working overtime to get stimulus payments sent out to you and process your tax returns. Per the IRS website IRS Operations During COVID-19: Mission-critical functions continue: Please visit here and see all services that have slowed down or been delayed due to Covid-19.
Once your tax return has been submitted, the most up to date information will come from the IRS. The IRS releases most refunds within 21 calendar days after the e-filed return has been accepted (received), not 21 days from the e-filing date.
