Refund

Your tax return is still being processed.

A refund date will be provided when available.

This is what I've been seeing on "where's my refund." No explanation or anything... I filed on January 21st 2021 and was accepted on February 11th 2021 but have not heard anything about anything... Any advice or knowledge of what's going on?

@Rgcantu0013 Sometimes as your return is being processed the bars disappear and the processing message appears. It can take up to 21 calendar days (sometimes a little longer) after your return is accepted before you receive your refund from the IRS.

Continue to check the status of your return by using the Where's My Refund Tool located at the IRS website.

Refund

I have also filled my taxes on 2/12/21 and when I check Where's my Refund, it still states that it is being processed and when a date is available they will let me know.   I would like to know why when people filled after I did are getting their refunds back and I filled on 2/12/21 am not.   I have talked with several people and it seems to be if you filled before 2/12/21 you are not getting refunds right away but if you filled 2/13/21 or later you are.

Refund

The IRS issues refunds, not TurboTax. This means that we can't say for sure why you haven’t received your refund if it's been longer than 21 days since you e-filed. You'll have to speak directly to IRS to find out more about the delay.

You should consider contacting the IRS if it’s been:

  • 21 days or more since you e-filed
  • 6 weeks or more since you mailed your return (under typical circumstances, however, see the link above regarding delays).
  • Or if the IRS’s Where's My Refund page tells you to contact them

Then the IRS asks that you call them at these numbers:

  • For individuals: 800-829-1040
  • For businesses: 800-829-4933
  • For those with hearing impairments: TTY/TDD 800-829-4059
  • To have an efficient call, here's what you need to prepare
