@ChondelLO I have contacted both TurboTax and Credit Karma multiple times and nobody knew what was going on. There are tons of other members with the same issues I'm having that have also called both companies support multiple times and they also got either the wrong answer or were told they didn't have an answer for them. Are you saying to call because you have learned something about what's causing the problem and you are confident that if we call the rep that answers will be able to actually help us? As of yesterday none of the reps could even see whether we applied for the advance.
I called Credit Karma today and was told to “just wait”. Then I was told once again that this was a TurboTax issue. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told no supervisors were taking calls about refunds. I spoke to someone at the “resolution desk” for TurboTax who told me there was nothing else TurboTax could do because “they’re just the software company not the bank.” I can’t even begin to explain how frustrating and infuriating this is. I’m sure something about this has to be illegal!
Same thing with me. I called all the numbers including this credit karma number they just gave. Credit karma says the issue is not with them it's with turbo tax. Turbo tax says the issue is with the lender not making a decision. Oh and by the way the lender has no number. The numbers floating around that I have seen and called numerous times for the lender, are all automated with no answer for us. This is beyond ridiculous. I'm beginning to think it was some kind of scheme just to get us to make that stupid credit karma account that nobody wanted. Seriously, this is bs
Yep! First Century changed their automated system and eliminated the option to speak with a representative. I was able to speak with someone on Tuesday but not since.
@cutiekim641 of course. So they won't have to answer us. This is crazy. My taxes were approved Monday. No email yet. No money no nothing. So disturbing
After 2 and half hours on hold with the santa barbara location, to finally speak to someone, they said hello one time and hung right up before i could respond. Are you freakin kidding meeeeeeeeee🔥🤬🔥 so annoyed and angry at this point. I give up
I have the same exact problem. Mine was accepted on the 21st. When I didn't get my advance I finally called on the 25th. Tuebotax said on their end on the section for approved or denied, it is just blank. The customer service representative helping me said "that's weird". But still couldn't help me. I asked her to transfer me to someone who could help me and even that person was a loss for words. It has something to do with credit karma. I have used tuebotax for 3 years and never had an issue. I was forced to open an account with them for the advance and now I won't receive it when I know I would have. Turbotax needs to address this now or they will be losing a few customers next year.
Yea they do it for some customers I guess I filed on the 22 got accepted on the 24 and still no refund advance this is nonsense and the only reason I filed with TurboTax again this year already had my credit karma card set up
I'm having the same issue. Called turbotax and after about 30 minutes on the phone (being VERY patient and polite) the guy just sent me another order confirmation email and hung up on me. I ONLY applied for the advance because it said that I would get it so quick because I am in a bind. No loan acceptance email, no confirmation for the advance and my return is ACCEPTED by the government. I'd like to know when a solution to this issue is coming.
Sadly there is no solution, I talked to TurboTax,Fcb, and credit karma and there was literally nothing that could be done..so I think I'm going elsewhere next year😑
@jjcoexist90 Sadly I don’t think there is one. We will have our refund before they send the advance. I’ve tried everything. Today I even called first century for the 20th time and got angry with the rep. She told me she didn’t know who she worked for turbo tax or first century smh I was pissed 😡
I probably will myself. Which is honestly sad 😔 I've used them to file every year since I got married 13 years ago! But last year they sent my refund to the wrong bank account and it was a HUGE ordeal and now this... I don't feel safe with them handling my taxes anymore.
@jjcoexist90 @Yeah I won’t be using them anymore either. I’ll pay that fee at hr block. I’ve been using them for 8years never a problem till now
The problem I'm having is that I filed, was approved for 3500 refund advance. The whole time before acceptance it said I was approved and gave me the whole 1 hrs message. As soon as my refund was accepted by the IRS, my refund advance changed to not approved. Anyone else have this happen?
