I am trying to pay the amount to e-file my taxes since my federal refund is not enough to cover it. I am not able to get this to work. May I pay this amount over the phone?

I just can't get it to take my info. I guess I could try it again but I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Are you using a credit or debit card, and it's telling you it can't authorize the transaction? Have you tried a different credit card (if you have one)? I've seen some anecdotal reports in this forum where people having this issue said it worked when they used a family member's card with a different billing address or a company card (if their company allows).

That FAQ says if you continue to have problems paying and thus cannot file, to contact TurboTax Support. If necessary, they can probably charge you over the phone and provide a service code to use.
