I filed my 2019 tax return in January and was accepted early. I am due a refund Of $1677 ($1410 plus $267 of EITC). March 2nd I was sent a CP05 notice saying my refund could be held up to 60 days (May 1st). I still haven’t received the refund and because it is still processing I haven’t received my stimulus payment yet. I was able to go into the get my payment tool (On 4/15) and submit my DD info so hopefully I get that soon. Anyways, my refund still says processing on the WMR tool but today I called IRS automated system and it says on 4/15 my 2019 tax account received a withholding payment credit of $1410 and $267 in EITC so my 2019 tax account has a credit of $1677. I’m confused why wouldn’t they send the refund by now or at least update WMR? Is there something I should do right now? I need that $1677 and I was also expecting the $1200 last week.

on the stimulus, any updates to the direct deposit by Thursday is supposed to create a stimulus payment no later than Friday of the following week. that would mean by this Friday. cross fingers!
@NCperson Do you think it’s possible I might get both my 2019 tax refund and stimulus check deposited at the same time?
@andiiblaque - they appear to be separate processes, so it would be coincidence if that happened.
@NCperson Ok. Do you think my refund will stay as a credit to my 2019 tax account until I contact a taxpayer advocate group or magically contact a live person on irs phone to deposit that credit as my refund? I heard other people that had a CP05 hold only got refunds by contacting taxpayer advocate groups.
