Need Turbo Tax customer support to lower a scheduled payment of state tax, based on Amended return

My initial payment of Virginia state income tax was scheduled through Turbo tax on 4/14 and is due to be deducted from my bank account on 5/1.  I amended my return on 4/20. 

When I try to file the Amendment and change the amount, Turbo tax gives me this incorrect message [My comments in brackets]:

It looks like you've prepared a federal amended return form 1040X. [TRUE; and the Virginia Form 760 as well].

It also looks like you haven't e-filed the 1040 through Turbo Tax. [FALSE; I filed the 1040 through Turbo Tax and the VA 760 as well].

To e-file the 1040X through Turbo Tax, you must have filed the 1040 through Turbo Tax. [I did.  But, more important and inaccessible is my scheduled VA payment that I want to change].

Can Turbo Tax customer support help?  Or, should I try to contact Virginia Department of taxation.  I still have 10 days to get it fixed before a big withdrawal that should be a small withdrawal.

does your Turbotax account show the returns as accepted? if not, that would be reason for the message you received. another possible issue is that your return(s) have not yet been processed, filing an amended return before this happens can cause issues. i would say your best bet is to contact the Virginia dept of rev then Turbotax customer support as to the e-file issue.
