There is no one for you talk to at the moment . The IRS is closed until further notice .... it’s bs they list on there website saying they will continue to process it impossible with 74,000 people not staffed . I recommend you filling out form 911 for tax advocate so you can see the stage your taxes are in . But to answer your question no sweet heart there is no one and they are closed .
I filed on March 23rd and still waiting for the Federal refund. I received the state refund after 7 days. My status on IRS says “your tax return is still being processed”. We are at the same boat!
They finally answered and told me all taxes are being used for the Pandemic....expect just my retirement check and this 1200 id like to throw at strippers as they gotta eat too!🤔😊
I'm with you I was informed I'm being reviewed could take 60 days reviews started March 9 then they shut down and there's no information except it's being processed
Finally I too got the state refund deposited. I guess, we have to wait for federal refund for a while.
How did you find out they were reviewing it? I mean, that’s fine and all but just knowing what the status would be nice lol
I called the 800 number multiple times finally spoke to someone that was happy to do their job she took the time to listen and then act on the situation and informed me I did not need to take any action ATM but it could take 60 days I don't get how the IRS is capable to track all refunds for stimulus but can't be available to review finalize and return refunds I appreciate the stimulus but my return is way more than that
Please tell me this isn't true how the hell do they do they can take my money n give it to someone else
I think Turbo Tax should find the answer to our question!! Those of us who got letter from irs before pandemic stating "wait for 60 days" have this question!! Is irs staying on schedule for these deadline or do we have to wait for longer time like 90 days or 120 days or 1000 days? turbo tax is in communication with irs and they should find out and inform us about any changes to these deadlines instead of passing the responsibility to us.

Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund. Only the taxpayer listed on the tax return can obtain the status of a tax refund or a tax return. TurboTax cannot legally inquire about any taxpayers tax return.
I totally agree
I think people are expecting turbotax to provide general information like whether IRS is short stuffed or closed or delayed etc instead of inquiring individual tax return. We assumed that turbotax will have more information than common person like us who only engage in tax situation for only couple of days in a year.
THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING MY POINT!
I was exactly asking for general information about the status of these waiting period NOT the individual tax payer, Please understand that we know a thing or two about privacy🙄
I assume its easier for Turbo Tax to cut and paste their respond rather than finding actual respond to peoples general but important question.

Apologies, I made the assumption you were referring to individual tax returns.
The only information we can convey on this forum is what is currently available from the IRS -
Telephone Options: Automated phone lines: which handle most taxpayer calls - also will remain available during this period. Some tax compliance lines also remain available. IRS phone lines supported by customer service representatives for both taxpayers and tax professionals are not staffed at this time. To check on regular tax refund status via automated phone, call800-829-1954. (This line has no information on Economic Impact Payments.)
Taxpayer correspondence: While the IRS is receiving and storing mail, our mail processing functions have been scaled back to comply with social distancing recommendations. Currently, we have reduced responses to paper correspondence. Our primary concern is serving taxpayers as indicated in the People First Initiative, which includes numerous actions to alleviate taxpayer burden during this time.
Taxpayers who mail correspondence to the IRS during this period should expect to wait longer than usual for a response. Once normal operations resume it will take the IRS time to work through any correspondence backlog. Correspondence sent to IRS offices may be returned to the taxpayer if that office is closed and no one is available to accept them
Taxpayer Protection Program: If you received correspondence from the IRS asking if you filed a suspicious tax return, you may use the online Identity Verification Service to validate your identity. Because the IRS cannot take calls or appointments right now, this is the only present option and is only for taxpayers who receive IRS letters asking them to authenticate their identity via online, telephone or in-person and confirm whether they filed the tax return in question.
