I got an email from TurboTax stating that my refund was approved and on its way. I knew I had to check the IRS website for proof. I put in the exact information down to the refund amount and the IRS site said that my info was wrong or I've done too many attempts when I've only done 2. Where am I going wrong?

Sorry to tell you that was a marketing email. Your only reliable source of information about your refund is the IRS refund site.
TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
Well that's funny because unless something about the app has changed, I've gotten the same email last year and I was able to track it on the IRS website. I file with TurboTax every year. This year, I can't even track it..
How long ago was your e-file accepted?
You may need to be more patient with a system that is overwhelmed, and give some more time for the IRS to begin processing the millions or returns they have just begun to accept.

Sometimes people get confused by the “summary” given by TurboTax and use the wrong amount for the federal refund. Make sure you are only using the federal refund amount, and not an amount that combined your federal and state refunds.
Your federal refund amount is on line 35a of your Form 1040
