Do you need to amend your return? Amended returns can only be mailed and they are not processing mailed returns right now. Then it will take them 16 weeks or longer to process it. Is someone waiting for you to amend so they can efile? They don't have to wait. They can mail their return right now too. They won't be able to efile even if you amend your return so they have to mail.
