I verified on the 2nd and mine is hitting on the 16 or before depending on my bank
When did you file? And when did you get the letter to verify you ID?
Ok if you were able to use I’d me it would have been faster so honestly they should get it this week and you should receive next file date between 24 and the 4
I filed on the 24 of Jan I received the letter on march 2nd you should be hearing something soon any day now they just have been behind
Ok was getting a little confused. I tried the other day to long into the verify.irs.gov site and this is what I got
We are not able to provide assistance to you via the identity verification tool.
If you’ve already filed, processing usually takes 21 days (electronic returns) or six weeks (paper returns).
Jan 24 got letter march 2nd
I filed February 1 and within 24hr was recieved and went into processing , my status bar disappeared a few weeks ago. Havnt heard a thing. I verified thru ID on irs past year amd updated my info. I know all my info is correct I just hope I get my letter soon or they let me know anything! 🙏...DAY 42 now. I know my new child I had last year may hold up for the recovery stimulus but figured they had all that confirmed by now.
You can ask the IRS to look into the status of your return since it's been more than 21 days since your taxes were accepted.
Call 1-800-829-1040. Be aware. The phone lines are backed up. The IRS opens at 7AM local time in every time zone. The earlier you call, the better your chance of speaking with someone.
Also check Where’s My Refund? The site is updated every day.
A typical tax refund with no issues goes out in 21 days or less. Typically, nine out of 10 refunds filed electronically go out in this time frame.
If there is an issue with a tax return that requires additional review, that can add time for some taxpayers, but it varies depending on the issue. Many factors can affect the timing of a refund. Common errors the IRS is seeing this filing season include people not reporting their Economic Impact Payments accurately on the Recovery Rebate Credit line or reporting an incorrect Advanced Child Tax Credit.
They will it’s the new child it takes longer with child tax credit
what number are you dialing to get through someone? Ive called [phone number removed] and nothing.
It’s the number that ends in 1040
800- 829-1040 good luck they are too busy please call back the next day
i cannot get through. i have tried to call them back to back and nothing for days.
So you probably won’t get anyone busy time but I just found they hired more ppl to push refunds faster just a waiting period but nxt checks go out 16 and the 4 and 21
I got a letter, so I tried to speak to someone about it and it's a different number they give to call and the something call back next day lol calling three days in a row nothing but a recording call back next day
