The tax implications are the same for a daughter and a grandchild so there should be no problem.
My daughter and 2 grandchildren live with us. We provide support to them and do not take any money for their support. My daughter claims them on her taxes. Can we as grandparents also claim them? We buy food and provide housing for them without charging anything.

No. Only one tax return can claim a dependent. Your daughter can choose who claims but as the parent the choice is hers. The child(ren) should not be on the other tax return at all.
