I realized after filing my 2022 taxes, I need to update my 2021 taxes. Towards the end of 2021, I started a new job in NY but I live in NJ. How do I amend/update this?

Please clarify if your 2021 W-2 Form had withholdings for NY.

It did. NY most likely owes me a little bit.

I got some money back from them for 2022.

It sounds like you will need to go over the amend process for your 2021 tax return. And add a New York state return as an additional state.
