I need a 2025 1040X form

TurboTax support for amending 2025 tax returns (Form 1040-X) is estimated to be available in late February 2026, with specific dates often cited around February 25th to March 4th, 2026. You must wait for your original 2025 return to be fully processed (accepted and refund/payment received) before filing an amendment. 

Remember that an Amended Return can take up to 12 weeks to process; it won't catch up to or correct your original return.

I was able to start the amendment process for my 2025 tax returns but I am stuck on the page that has steps 1-3, after filling out my direct deposit and brings me back to the page and only has a continue button for step 2. I have tried clearing my cache, different browsers, incognito mode, and turbotax says everything looks good after reviewing. My taxes have already been accepted by the federal government so I'm wondering how to solve the issue? Is this a technical glitch?

The 2025 Form 1040X will be available March 4th.  If you've already Filed and were Accepted, you need to wait until you receive your Refund (or your Balance Due payment has been processed) before submitting an Amended Return.

There's no rush to file an amendment; it takes up to 12 weeks to process and doesn't catch up to or correct your previously filed return since it's processed separately.

Thank you for your response! I only owed for my 2025 taxes and did not receive a refund. It looks like my payment for what I owed on my tax returns was also processed.

Thank you for letting me know that 1040x will not be fully available until March 4th. My original 2025 federal and DE state returns were already accepted and I received my refunds from both, the IRS and the state of Delaware. TurboTax allowed me to prepare the 2025 amendment federal and state tax returns. I was able to view the form 1040x in forms and in print preview. All the information I entered to correct my 1099INT appears correct. It also brought me to the screen where you enter all the information for electronic filing, but I did not go any further because when I reviewed the returns, the form 1040x was loaded up in a two bland PDF, followed by the smart sheet that were populated with my data, the up 1040 SR return and the DE amendment state return. So the only return that was not viewable in PDF was the 1040x return. This is why, I didn’t attempt to continue with efile. I will wait until March 4th. I would like to get this done as soon as possible because I now owe taxes and do not want to pay a penalty.

Were you able to view and print form 1040x in the adobe PDF format? I have TurboTax desktop .

I didn't even think about viewing/printing the form. I just wanted to submit the amended return. I'll see if I can do that today.

TT2025 Desktop Deluxe Edition still displays 2 blank pages in the PDF generated for printing, even after downloading the forms updates last week when TT announced they were released & updates today (3/2/26). Issue still is not fixed with blank pages/no 1040-X in the output.
