I logged into turbotax today to see if form 1040x was viewable in the Adobe PDF software. I opened turbotax and allowed the updates to be installed. Once that was done, I went into the menu file/print to view the form 1040x. My return loaded up, but the 1040x form was still not viewable in PDF format. Then, I tried another button on the file menu bar, 'print save for your records button', and received a message saying that form 1040x is viewable in Acrobat Reader DC. There was a link in the message where it invited me to download this software on my PC. I downloaded the free version. Once that was done, I went back in turbotax to print the return, and the form 1040x was viewable with all the data. However, I got a message on this form saying, 'error exists on this page (meaning 1040x). Acrobat may not display page correctly. Contact the person who created the PDF Document to correct problem. I reviewed the 1040x form against the 1040x that I downloaded from the IRS, and all the fields on the turbotax form appeared to be correct. I didn't have any problems with printing the return either. All the pages printed correctly. However, I hope that turbotax corrects whatever glitch still exists with the 1040x form.
