I mailed my taxed return in early March (No info about the federal return), and just efiled the federal return since it approaches the ddl. Will it cause me in trouble? What should I do at this moment?

I mailed my tax document this early March. After around 1 month, I received my state tax return.

However, due to the COVID19 shutdown, I was wondering if the federal return got lost during transportation. I checked WMR for nearly 4 months but nothing can be found.

Since it is approaching 7/15, I e-filed the same federal tax via the Turbo tax. However, it seems that Turbotax transmitted both the federal and state tax return.

Will I be in trouble? I'm really worried about that :(

The IRS requests that filers not efile a return that has already been mailed. It may cause some confusion at the IRS if they start processing both the mailed return and efiled return at the same time. This could slow processing down but there is nothing you can do about it now.

Since the state has already processed your mailed return, they will probably just ignore your efiled state return.

Deeply appreciate your information.

The e-filed federal tax has been accepted by the IRS. So I guess they haven't started to process the mailed documents. Hopefully, they will just ignore my mailed document, or ask me to clarify by mail. To be honest, I was really afraid of being sent to jail for tax fraud as I saw in another discussion on a similar issue.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your reply.  I should check these discussions before making a decision in the future.
