I mailed in my tax return in March and I have recieved my state tax return but still haven’t gotten my federal return. Does that mean there was something wrong with my return?

I have tried to use the Where’s My Refund tool on the IRS website and it says it can’t give me any information.

Not necessarily, but the IRS has a huge backlog processing mailed returns.

Please be patient, the situation will get better soon as some IRS agents are returning to their desks.

My W-2, in box 19, shows $263.95 withheld for local taxes. This withholding is not recognized in the PA state return as an offset to tax liability. Why?
