TT cannot release the form until the IRS approves TT's version (programming) of it.
TT is located in the Pacific time zone, so try again later in the day. But also see this:
I am experiencing the same dilemma as I filed weeks ago and already received my tax refund; but just realized as of recently that I didn't claim my 1099-G when filing! I only declared salaried income (I was unemployed for a few months in 2020).
It wasn't until I received the recent notification email from Intuit Turbotax about the American Rescue Plan that I realized my mistake! My state (WI) didn't send me a paper 1099-G; so hence why I forgot to include it when filing. I had to log into my UI account today and downloaded a copy of my 1099-G. I am freaking out because I now have to wait until the IRS starts accepting amended returns; and that is being postponed until the IRS figures out the new changes with the American Rescue Plan + unemployment tax refunds they plan on giving back to taxpayers. What should I do? Should I contact the IRS to let them know I inadvertently messed up? Or wait?
Thanks!

Since you never filed the original tax return with unemployment compensation you should amend the 2020 federal tax return to include the UC and the exclusion. If you e-filed the original tax return you can e-file the amended return.
Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS.
See this TurboTax support FAQ on amending a tax return originally completed and filed using the 2020 TurboTax editions - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/amending/help/how-do-i-amend-my-return/01/27439
Thanks for the fast reply, DoninGA! I already received my refund weeks ago; so as soon as the 1040X's are available, I should file an amended return?
I also saw a notice on here asking folks who received unemployment and filed to wait and do nothing; but I assume that applies only to those who have filed correctly and included the UI compensation 1099-Gs. Those folks should do nothing, right?
Thanks!

The Form 1040-X is available now so you can go ahead and amend your tax return.
The IRS has requested that those who have filed a tax return with unemployment compensation, but without the exclusion, to refrain from amending their tax returns until further notice from the IRS.
Thanks again for the prompt reply but the 1040Xs it says when I log into my account, that they are not available yet; and I am not allowed to amend my return.
This is the message I get:

This is the message I get:
Your return isn't ready to be amended yetThe IRS is making some updates that change how we support amended returns that include unemployment. We'll be updating our product after we have IRS guidance on the best way to file amended returns so they can be processed quickly and accurately.
Now that I was not aware of. I knew that the user would get the message if they were amending with UC already entered on the original return, but was not aware you would get the same message if you were adding UC to the amended return.
So now you will just have to wait until the IRS issues further guidance and then you can amend the return.
I am going to throw this back to the TurboTax Moderators and see what they say about this.
Thanks for kicking this over to the moderators. I do have to clarify one thing that I may have neglected to mention in my original post.
I DID receive by mail a 1099-G from Wisconsin when I originally filed weeks ago BUT it was not for UI Benefits, but apparently a refund for year 2019. So that one I DID report on my taxes when I filed weeks ago; just not the 1099-G for unemployment benefits (that one the State of WI neglected to mail out to me; hence why I forgot to include it when filing). Hope that makes sense.
