I got a direct deposit but still showing accepted not sent @ IRS & TT?

Good day everyone.

I awoke this morning to see a deposit in my account from "Tax Products PE3DepositSBTPG LLC". knowing a few friends have been scammed and had accounts frozen before after receiving anonymous deposits, i called my bank. they told me they see the deposit but cannot confirm the source by which it was sent. when i searched tax products online it brought me to a few forums that were unclear here on TT. can anyone explain what is going on? i have a child and cannot afford my account to be frozen due to fraud.

If you received a deposit of your Federal refund from "Tax Products", aka SBTPG, PE3 etc., that implies you had TurboTax fees that you chose to pay out of your Federal refund. That intermediary company receives the refund from the IRS, subtracts the fees, then sends the rest to your bank account (or card.)

TurboTax will never show your refund as sent.. ... TT does not get any information from the IRS after you file your return and it has been accepted.   Only the IRS can tell you if they have sent the refund.   Some users have reported that their refunds showed up in their accounts before the IRS updated the refund site.

Thank you for your knowledge. unfortunately, this does not address my concern of whom this "tax products PE3" is and why i got a deposit that doesn't match the refund i should receive (after fees).

Thank you. Previous forums i visited were unclear on this, and i, nor my bank, could not determine who they were or where the deposit came from.

I received the same deposit. I believe it was my federal return from TurboTax as well but, like you, it was over $200 less than I should have received after fees were taken. Sounds like something shady may be going on. I'm just going to sit on it for a couple weeks and see if something else shows up but I'm guessing TurboTax screwed something up somewhere.

So these knuckle heads are charging me $203???  Turbo Tax already charged me $200 to file.  So I paid $406 on a $666 Federal refund. Free free free my ass!  Y’all better fix this!!!
